We offer training and awareness sessions for professionals who work with people under the age of 25. This could be in a social care setting, a school, hospital, or residential setting.

We are also present at community events such as Warwickshire pride, and we have pop-up stands in schools covering lots of awareness days and weeks.

Our course

    • Session duration: 1 Day

    Substance Misuse and Safeguarding Children

    This course explores the impact of substance misuse on children, young people and family life.

    Designed for professionals working with families affected by adult drug or alcohol use.

    Participants will gain a better understanding of hidden harm, recognise safeguarding concerns, and develop practical skills to protect children while supporting parents to access appropriate services.

    Delivered four times a year in partnership with  Change Grow Live’s Warwickshire adult service as part of the Warwickshire Safeguarding Children Partnership (WSCP) training programme.

    • Session duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

    Substance Misuse Training & What's the Score?

    Designed for professionals working with young people, this session provides an introduction to the substances most commonly used by young people, their effects, associated risks and harm reduction approaches.

    Participants will also learn how to use Change Grow Live's What's the Score? screening tool to confidently start conversations about substance use, assess risk and identify the most appropriate support and intervention.

    This course is recommended before attending Substance Misuse and Safeguarding Children. 

    Delivered monthly via Microsoft Teams as part of the Warwickshire Safeguarding Children Partnership (WSCP) training programme.

    Holding Difficult Conversations

    This interactive session helps professionals build the confidence and skills to manage challenging conversations with children, young people and families.

    Through practical guidance, participants will explore effective communication techniques, develop empathy, and learn age-appropriate approaches to engaging with children, teenagers and adults.

    Delivered monthly as part of the Warwickshire Safeguarding Children Partnership (WSCP) training programme.

    Bespoke Substance Misuse Workshops

    Evolve Warwickshire offers tailored substance misuse workshops to meet the specific needs of your team or organisation.

    Whether you're seeing emerging trends or would like to build confidence around particular substances or issues affecting young people and families, these sessions provide practical, up-to-date guidance to support your work.

    Available up to four times per month via Microsoft Teams.
