What is Individual Placement and Support?

Individual Placement and Support (IPS) is a type of employment support that can help you find job opportunities. An Employment Specialist will work with you to achieve your employment goals.

Together, we will identify your strengths and skills so you can focus on the types of jobs you are well suited to.

You will have access to:

  • One-to-one support with searching, applying and interviewing for jobs
  • Up to nine months' support to find a job
  • Up to four months of in-work support
  • Jobs that are not advertised elsewhere
  • Opportunities to meet with employers
  • Support to stay focused on getting the job you want
  • Help to find work that suits you, whether it’s part or full time
  • Help producing a professional CV
  • Resources, training and funding
  • Help with navigating your benefits to ensure you will be better off in work
  • Help to keep or change jobs if you are already working
  • Help if you need changes to your treatment provision to help enable you to continue paid work
  • Support to maintain your new role alongside your treatment

You can get support from our IPS service if you are:

  • Accessing structured treatment at Change Grow Live's Warwickshire Drug and Alcohol service
  • Interested in securing paid employment
  • 18-64 years old
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Committed to achieving your employment goals, and willing to attend regular meetings with us

We offer hassle-free support to employers, to fill vacancies by connecting you with motivated candidates

We are a pre-funded recruitment service; it doesn’t cost anything to work with us, meaning you fill your vacancies for free. You will recruit an employee who really wants to work; everyone using the IPS service are keen to find paid employment.

Our Employment Specialists will continue to work with you and your new employee to ensure it is a great fit for everyone. Training and support are available to ensure your workforce can work well with employees who may have faced adversities

Ambassador Programme run by Intuitive Thinking Skills

If you want to use your lived experience to represent your peers and community, you can become one of our service ambassadors.

We’ve partnered with the organisation Intuitive Thinking Skills to offer the Ambassador Programme: an accredited training course that will help you develop new skills, knowledge and qualifications.

  • Gain a nationally recognised IAG qualification
  • Build real skills and experience to support people to find the right services for them
  • Improve your communication skills
  • Learn about professional behaviour and good conduct
