Horizon - Blackpool
We offer a range of support to help you feel more connected, supported, and able to take positive steps forward.
Blackpool Recovery Hub
The Blackpool Recovery Hub is a welcoming space for people who are in stable recovery from substance use. The hub runs drop-in sessions where anyone is welcome to attend, as well as organised events and groups.
Here, you can connect with others, build supportive relationships, and take part in activities that support your wellbeing. These include things like mindfulness, art, music, and recovery-focused groups.
The Hub is a collaboration between Horizon and the recovery organisation Jobs, Friends and Houses.

What's on
Sexual health support
We offer sexual health support across Blackpool, including targeted outreach for communities who may need it most.
Our team includes specialist workers who support people with HIV prevention, those living with or affected by HIV, LGBTQ+ communities, and people involved in sex work.
We provide:
- Free BBV blood-borne virus testing and awareness sessions
- Sexual health advice and harm reduction support
- Links to clinical services through local health partners
We also work with local communities to reduce stigma and improve understanding, so more people feel comfortable accessing support.
Lived experience team
Our Lived Experience Team is delivered by Empowerment and supports people across Blackpool who are facing multiple challenges, such as homelessness, substance use, mental health issues, offending, or domestic abuse.
Our team has personal experience of these challenges. This means they understand what you may be going through and can offer support in a way that feels real, respectful, and non-judgemental.
We work alongside you to build trust, understand what matters to you, and support you to make positive changes at your own pace.
Changing Futures Blackpool
Changing Futures Blackpool is part of Horizon and is co-produced with people who have lived experience.
Their team supports people who are facing several challenges at once and may not feel ready or able to access other services. This could include issues like homelessness, substance use, mental health, or involvement with the criminal justice system.
Our Lived Experience Navigators meet people where they are, in the community or on the streets, and take time to build trusting relationships.
We help you access the right support when you’re ready, so you can feel more stable, more in control, and able to move forward.
