Change Grow Live Birmingham is moving its drug and alcohol services out of Scala House and into several new venues, which will be located across Birmingham.
Why is this happening?
We believe that moving our services into smaller, more community-based venues, will better meet the needs of the people who need our support.
When are we leaving Scala House?
From Tuesday 7th May 2019, Change Grow Live Birmingham will gradually start reducing the amount of support that is provided from Scala House, until its full closure in July 2019.
Where are we moving to?
Change Grow Live Birmingham is opening two new venues in May 2019 and then two further venues by July 2019.
Central & West (Newtown) and South (Bournville) will be opening on Tuesday 7th May 2019 and our Service Users who live in the centre, west and south of the city will start accessing support from their respective new venues, from that date.
East (Stetchford) and North (Great Barr) will be opening by July 2019. Until those venues open, our Service Users living in the east and north of the city will continue receiving support as normal i.e. from Scala House and/or from our existing community venues.
Members of the homeless community who require Change Grow Live support will continue receiving current levels of provision and outreach.
Those who have a Drug Rehabilitation or Alcohol Treatment Requirement will continue attending appointments at Centre City.
