Positive Futures is a free and confidential drug and alcohol service for young people and concerned others in the Gateshead area.

Whether you need support for your own or someone else’s substance use, Positive Futures can help.

We take a flexible approach and can work in a way that suits you. That may involve support and appointments over the phone, in person at a place chosen by you, or by video call.

What we offer

  • Advice, information and support around drugs and alcohol for young people up to the age of 18.
  • One-to-one specialist support sessions around drugs and alcohol for young people up to the age of 18.
  • Support to stop smoking or vaping.
  • Specialist support to children aged 5 - 18 who are impacted by parental substance or alcohol use.
  • Free training to professionals working in the Gateshead area.
  • Support to schools including training for teaching and non-teaching staff.
