Taking on Race for Life for the third year
We’re proud to be taking part in Race for Life Cambridge for the third year running, raising money for Cancer Research UK. Thanks to the amazing support we’ve received so far, we’ve raised almost £3,500 including Gift Aid, online and offline donations. This is a fantastic achievement and something we can all be really proud of. Any further support would be hugely appreciated.

Let’s Talk series
We’ve launched our Let’s Talk series, a short video series opening up conversations around substance use, harm reduction and support. Each video focuses on a different topic, sharing clear and accessible information to help reduce stigma, increase awareness and encourage people to reach out if they need support. You can watch the series here: Let's Talk
Celebrating Volunteers Week
Thank you to our volunteers For Volunteers’ Week, we’re celebrating the brilliant volunteers who support our service, as well as the many volunteers working across our partner organisations. Whether offering time, skills, lived experience or a listening ear, volunteers play an important role in creating welcoming, compassionate and connected support across our communities. Thank you for everything you do.
A safe space to get creative
Sometimes, having somewhere welcoming to go can make a big difference. During Mental Health Awareness Week, people from our Creative Instinct Recovery Cafés shared their artwork and talked about how the cafés have supported their mental health and wellbeing. Creative Instinct offers a relaxed space to have a cup of tea, try something creative, meet others, and take some time for yourself. It’s completely free, there’s no need to sign up, and all materials are provided. You can bring your own project, try something new, or join in with one of the creative workshops. Learning from the Ketamine and Synthetic Opioids Conference
In March, members of our team attended the Ketamine and Synthetic Opioids Conference in Norwich, which brought together professionals, lived experience voices and frontline practitioners to explore ketamine use, synthetic opioids, harm reduction and emerging trends. The learning from this event will help shape our new Change Grow Live Cambridgeshire ketamine pathway, which will soon be shared with professionals across the county.
