Bounce Back: Supporting people from prison to employment

Change Grow Live works closely with Bounce Back, a charity dedicated to supporting people in prison who are at risk of or have a history of offending and substance use.

Bounce Back empowers people to turn their lives around, reduce reoffending, and contribute to a society where everyone can look forward to a brighter future.

It does this by training and preparing people for careers on release, either through their own enterprise or with partner companies. Since 2010, Bounce Back has supported around 10,000 people across London with their training and employment needs.

A wide range of skills, for the present and the future

The initiative launched with training in painting and decorating services, and has expanded into fire door safety, general building and grounds maintenance, emergency repairs and refurbishments. The team has grown into skilled tradespeople who act as role models and mentors for trainees and new recruits.

Participants receive support every step of the way, for as long as they need – to ensure they have everything they need to be work-ready, apply for and sustain a job. This includes training and skills that employers want and need – now and in the future – that can lead to good jobs with prospects.

An impactful partnership

Working with Change Grow Live, with our shared ethos, means that Bounce Back can offer more support to its participants – and ultimately make a greater impact.

Having worked with Bounce Back for several years, we have always been impressed by their mission and the incredible work they do. Bounce Back’s unwavering commitment to equipping individuals with valuable skills and opportunities to secure employment upon release is genuinely transformative.” – Poppy Lowe, co-founder of Lowe Group
