New Beginnings is a standalone medically managed detoxification unit that accepts people over the age of 18. The unit has a thriving community rehab programme for people to access along with those staying for detoxification. The programme can manage a range of co-existing conditions, and is one of eight NHS units nationally.

The community rehab programme offers a CBT programme set in a therapeutic environment and volunteer mentors can support people within 12-step meetings. The 12 bed unit features self-contained rooms and is no smoking – but nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) is available.

The recovery programme offers group work around life skills, including complimentary therapies, arts and crafts and music.

Average length of stay: 14 days
