Tackling hygiene poverty in Norfolk with the help of The Hygiene Bank

3 June 2019

There’s been a lot in the press recently about the issue of hygiene poverty. In our King’s Lynn service, we are happy to announce that we have received a donation of hygiene goods from The Hygiene Bank, to distribute to anyone that needs them.

Katie, who donated the products, said:

"I first saw a post on social media and wondered how I could help. After a few emails with Lizzy (the founder of the project), I realised wanted to help as much as I can. The Hygiene Bank has made such a difference in the local community already. I had no idea how many people in King’s Lynn were affected by hygiene poverty. The community have been fantastic, by donating items that have been passed on to men, women and children. It’s been very humbling. Supermarkets, hospitals and the town hall have all supported us, by having a collection box for donations.

We donate to local organisations who support children in difficult situations, men and women who are homeless, families who are in crisis, and young people in need of help to get back on their feet. All donations, no matter how big or small, make a huge impact on those in need, and it means they do not need to see hygiene items as a luxury or make those very difficult choices.

I am so proud of being a part of The Hygiene Bank."

A massive thank you from all of us at Change Grow Live Norfolk for your support.
