Change Grow Live Barking and Dagenham is a free and confidential alcohol and drug support service for adults in Barking and Dagenham, delivering a range of recovery focused interventions designed to meet the needs of those experiencing substance misuse issues.
We work with adults over the age of 18 providing a wide range of services and interventions to support them on their ongoing recovery journey. We offer a range of interventions including one to one support, group sessions, counselling, therapeutic art and craft sessions. We are also a prescribing service and have a needle exchange service.
We are looking for volunteers with a commitment to providing a caring and effective service to people affected by alcohol and/or substance misuse that are able to volunteer between 8 – 25 hours per week. Good communication skills are essential. All applicants must be able to demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to best safeguarding practice.
Successful applicants will receive excellent training and ongoing supervision and support and become part of a dynamic and welcoming team. CGL are committed to creating an inclusive environment for service users, volunteers and staff.
