Reset Recovery Support Service is a free and confidential drug and alcohol service for adults in Tower Hamlets, London. We provide a range of recovery focused interventions designed to meet the needs of those experiencing substance misuse issues. At the recovery support service we provide a structured day programme, counselling, housing support, benefits and finance advice, education advice, training and access to employment. We work with a number of specialist partners: NACRO, Spitalfield Crypt Trust, Bromley by Bow Centre and City Gateway.
This is an exciting opportunity to become the first point of contact for service users and visitors accessing our service. It will put you in a key position to learn about drug and alcohol services, interact with the local community and develop your administrative skills. You will be key to providing a smooth and welcoming first impression of the service, working as part of a friendly team.
As the Reception / Administrator volunteer, you will support our service by providing a front of house service. This will involve monitoring access to the building and ensuring entry and reception protocols are followed. There will also be a requirement for the post-holder to assist with the day to day office duties such as answering the phone, opening and distributing mail, filing, photocopying, record keeping etc, to participate in team meetings and taking of minutes.
Change, Grow, Live (CGL) are committed to creating an inclusive environment, which celebrates difference and allows our staff and service users to flourish. We recruit the very best staff from a wide range of backgrounds, ensuring service users benefit from our diverse skills and expertise. We always work to the principles of fairness and equality of opportunity in all our recruitment processes.
We also expect an assertive approach to ensuring the safety and well-being of all children, young people and adults, and applicants to these posts will need to demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to best safeguarding practice.
