As a mentor you will hopefully motivate your young person to stay clear of offending by offering them opportunities to engage in activities in the local community or you could support them to attend meetings and if required be a voice on their behalf.
Are you looking for an opportunity to make a difference to a young person?
Would you like to support a young person who has involvement with the Hull Youth Justice Service, to help them steer clear of offending?
We are currently recruiting mentors to support and mentor young people whilst they are attached to the Hull Youth Justice Service. As a mentor you will be there to provide one to one support so that the young person can identify and achieve their personal goals as well as been a listening ear and be someone independent from the Youth Justice Service.
All meetings will be out in the local community with the aim of introducing the young person to activities in their local area and hopefully help them to make positive changes in their lives, building a brighter and crime free future.
In return, you will gain valuable expedience, skills and a sense of achievement, as a well as ongoing training, supervision and support.
