An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Complimentary Therapist Volunteer to work within Newcastle’s Drug and Alcohol Service to join part of our Health and Wellbeing programme.
Besides sufficient experience to deliver your therapy and professional indemnity insurance, you will have an interest in the issues faced by our clients, along with a non-judgmental attitude. You will need to demonstrate an awareness of diversity, equality, confidentiality and boundaries. Typically you would offer 1-3 appointments per week in the course of a morning or afternoon at CGL.
As a volunteer you will have the benefit of regular supervision and will also be afforded the opportunity of personal and professional development through our various CGL training programmes. Travel expenses are reinbursed
This is an exciting opportunity for anyone who would like to gain experience in working in this field and/or wants to do something positive in their local community
