Change, Grow, Live is a voluntary sector organisation specialising in substance misuse and criminal justice intervention projects in England and Wales.

Our drug and alcohol services support adults and young people to understand the risks their drug or alcohol use pose to their health and wellbeing, and support them to reduce or stop their use safely.

Our integrated services address the needs of the whole person and encompass housing, education, training and employment as well as psycho-social and clinical substance misuse treatment. Once stability or abstinence has been achieved, we provide aftercare to help maintain recovery and reduce the likelihood of relapse. We work with the families and friends of people affected by drug or alcohol use to help develop and maintain strong, loving and stable relationships critical to successful recovery.

In Halton we operate a Recovery Café which is a service user and volunteer led initiative in Widnes, providing much needed food for those who are recovering from addiction.

We are looking to build up our kitchen team of volunteers, to enable us to continue to provide this resource within our community.

We are looking for people with an interest and experience in working or supporting in a kitchen setting.  A commitment to 2 days a week (Thursday & Friday) in order to prepare and to run the café.

Change Grow Live are committed to creating an inclusive environment, which celebrates difference and allows our staff and service users to flourish.  We recruit the very best staff from a wide range of backgrounds, ensuring service users benefit from our diverse skills and expertise. We always work to the principles of fairness and equality of opportunity in all our recruitment processes.

We also expect an assertive approach to ensuring the safety and well-being of all children, young people and adults, and applicants to these posts will need to demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to best safeguarding practice.
