Succeed Thrive Empower Pennine
STEP work across Pennine Lancashire to provide a framework of support for vulnerable adults to promote healthier lives, wellbeing and active responsible citizenship.
As we are community based, we are looking for passionate volunteers to work side by side with our Case Navigators in supporting our service users to address their needs. This can involve 1 – 2 – 1 appointments, attending meetings and external appointments with service users and supporting individuals to create their own support plan, as well as documenting and referring into appropriate services. Our volunteers need to be empathetic, dedicated to helping our service users with good communication and IT skills.
By volunteering with the STEP team, individuals will gain experience in working with vulnerable service users in a community setting and working with various external agencies within a dynamic national charity. Volunteers also complete a high quality training package and receive ongoing support from their supervisor and service volunteer coordinator.
Change Grow Live are committed to creating an inclusive environment, which celebrates difference and allows our staff and service users to flourish. We recruit the very best staff from a wide range of backgrounds, ensuring service users benefit from our diverse skills and expertise. We always work to the principles of fairness and equality of opportunity in all our recruitment processes.
We also expect an assertive approach to ensuring the safety and well-being of all children, young people and adults, and applicants to these posts will need to demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to best safeguarding practice.
Please note, if you have not heard from us within three weeks of the closing date, your application has not been shortlisted on this occasion.
