CGL Tri-Borough is an Integrated Team working with clients presenting with issues around alchohol. It provides rapid access to a range of interventions and treatment options for people experiencing problems with alcohol, promoting a focus on recovery and independence. We are looking for an Voluntary Assistant Psychologist to join our team; the roles provide an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and ongoing success of the tri-borough service, whilst making lasting changes to the local community. Individuals will need to be motivated, enthusiastic, committed and driven in order to meet the expectations of these challenging and rewarding roles.
Under the supervision of the counselling psychologist this post will deliver psycho-educational interventions. This will include the delivery of group based talking therapy interventions to support service user’s recovery. The role will support training, research and development within the service.
The role will entail you working closely with the counselling psychologist working on a number of different projects. You will be co-running groups, collecting data including psychological and neuropsychological tests, self-report measures, rating scales; direct and indirect structured observations as well as assisting on a variety of projects.
To deliver group based psycho-social interventions that target substance using behaviour.
