Gloucestershire Integrated Drug and Alcohol recovery Service is a countywide service. It provides rapid access to a range of interventions and treatment options for adults experiencing problems with drugs and/or alcohol, promoting a focus on recovery and independence. We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Recovery Navigator to contribute to the development and ongoing success of the Gloucestershire services, whilst making lasting changes to the local community. Individuals will need to be motivated, enthusiastic, committed and driven in order to meet the expectations of this challenging and rewarding role.
You will be committed to a positive, holistic and empowering approach to case management and co-ordination and will work with service users to initiate recovery from drug and alcohol dependence, to enable service users to build their own recovery capital and to support them to move into long-term sustained recovery and social (re)integration.
You will carry a caseload, engage collaboratively in recovery planning and work alongside colleagues – including peer mentors - to ensure an integrated package of care including psycho-social ( group and Pod work), harm reduction and medically assisted structured interventions and support with recovery sustainment to improve the quality of life for the service user, their families and the community. The post holder will provide support within core services, within the community, in addition to supporting service users’ needs across operational sites in Gloucestershire.
Change Grow Live are committed to creating an inclusive environment, which celebrates difference and allows our staff and service users to flourish. We recruit the very best staff from a wide range of backgrounds, ensuring service users benefit from our diverse skills and expertise. We always work to the principles of fairness and equality of opportunity in all our recruitment processes.
We also expect an assertive approach to ensuring the safety and well-being of all children, young people and adults, and applicants to these posts will need to demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to best safeguarding practice.
Please note, if you have not heard from us within three weeks of the closing date, your application has not been shortlisted on this occasion.
