Based at HMP Wandsworth the ‘Pathways to Recovery’ service deliver psycho-social drug treatment in relation to substance misuse issues. Our aim is to motivate, create opportunities for the future, reinforce hope and support lifestyle changes for all individuals within our care.  You will join a well-established, experienced team who are committed to taking a positive and empowering approach to service delivery. The Pathways to Recovery team consists of operational front line staff, a family service and peer mentor scheme.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Peer Mentor Lead to work within this service and to participate in the on-going development and delivery of the Pathways to Recovery service. You will manage a cohort of Peer Mentors who are themselves in recovery from drug and/or alcohol dependence. You will support them in modelling recovery to all service users, as an integral part of service delivery. You will need to demonstrate a strong recovery focus and have knowledge of a range of psychosocial interventions.

You will recruit volunteers and ensure they receive necessary induction and supervision to carry out their roles within the service.

You will possess the ability to work confidently with other agencies and professionals, as well as demonstrating commitment to achieving targets and goals of the service.
