Change Grow Live are leading a dynamic Recovery partnership in Gateshead providing a new Integrated Treatment & Recovery Service with an underpinning ethos to build on the success of Gateshead’s Drug & Alcohol services to create more opportunities for service users to begin and continue their recovery journey and add to this growing asset based resource and support system.
As directed by management and line managed by the Clinical Team Lead, the post-holder will be an integral member of a multi-disciplinary team within Gateshead, leading on BBV testing, wellbeing interventions, blood borne virus screening, health and wellbeing assessments, supporting drug and alcohol prescribing and detoxification programs and support the team in the development and delivery of clinical health.
You will undertake duties involved in the day to day operation, management and development of drug and alcohol prevention, treatment, recovery and well being interventions. Specific duties will also include assessment of health and wellbeing needs, leading on a BBV testing and vaccination programme. Supporting the work of Gateshead’s Hep C specialist team and community based sexual health services and supporting the delivery of alcohol detoxification across Gateshead.
You will have excellent engagement skills, be committed to high quality service provision and the active involvement of service users. You will have some training of relevance and or qualifications and desirable experience when it comes to addressing substance misuse issues. You will be required to work flexibly as required and work openly to maintain the most appropriate level of service provision. This may include some evening working.
