Change, Grow, Live are the lead provider of CHART Kirklees, the Integrated Drug and Alcohol Treatment Services in Kirklees. We deliver a partnership model of recovery focussed community based services supporting adults in Kirklees to safely reduce or stop using drugs or alcohol.
We are recruiting for two Health and Wellbeing Nurses to join our team based in Dewsbury, working as part of a team covering Kirklees. Our team of nurses and healthcare assistants support to improve the wellbeing of our clients by conducing health assessments, blood borne virus screening, and vaccinations, ECG’s, community alcohol detoxification and lots more.
We support via Hubs in Dewsbury and Huddersfield with a presence at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary, Dewsbury District Hospital and on our Wellbeing Wheels (clinical van) out in communities across Kirklees.
The successful applicants will be part of an established and dynamic service which aims to help people improve their lives. As well as providing direct interventions with service users, the successful applicant will contribute to the ongoing development of the nursing team in the service. Alongside this, the successful applicants will also be a resource to colleagues who support service users with complex additional needs.
The role will include working flexibly maintaining the most appropriate level of service provision; this will include some evening working. We are open until 8pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in Dewsbury and Tuesdays and Thursdays in Huddersfield. Its likely that some clinics will take place in the evening and you will start later or have scheduled TOIL to compensate. There is no planned weekend working and no night shifts.
The post holder will be a Registered Nurse from either General (Adults) or Mental Health Nursing with a current NMC registration. Relevant experience in the substance misuse field would be a benefit, but the willingness to embrace and develop this role will also be of importance.
The successful post holder will need to undertake a DBS check at Enhanced Level
