An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Inspire service in East Lancashire for a substance misuse Recovery Coordinator – Harm Reduction role specific post
Inspire is a successful health and social care charity working with individuals, families and communities across England and Wales that are affected by drugs, alcohol and the behaviours associated. We believe that positive change can be facilitated throughout a person’s journey and at any stage; and support and guidance can enable choice, possibilities and opportunities.
The successful candidate will have care co-ordination responsibilities alongside the tasks of recovery planning, risk assessing, risk management planning. In addition, knowledge and experience of Medically Assisting Recovery, harm reduction and psychosocial interventions, are essential. The successful candidate will be able to engage collaboratively alongside colleagues – including peer mentors, volunteers, nurses and doctors, to ensure an integrated package of care. You will be committed to a positive, holistic and empowering approach to care co-ordination and will work with service users to initiate recovery from drug and alcohol dependence, to enable service users to build their own recovery capital and to support them to move into long-term sustained recovery and social (re)integration.
