A rewarding opportunity has arisen to join the Change, Grow, Live’s team in Richmond’s Integrated Recovery Service as a Fundraising Volunteer to assist our Recovery Teams in the Richmond Borough
CGL is a drug and alcohol recovery service working with adults affected by recreational and dependent drug and/or alcohol use within the Richmond Borough. All clients are provided with an opportunity to enter a treatment system which offers support and specialist knowledge regarding the effects of addiction and offer clear objectives as to how they can work towards a healthier and happier life and look to a brighter future, from engagement, through to treatment, prescribing to aftercare.
The post-holder will be supporting with looking and applying for funding opportunities, Develop promotional information to promote the service, attend community events to promote the organisation and support with researching and targeting charitable trusts whose criteria match the charity's aims and activities.
All volunteers will receive an in-house training package delivered by our dedicated volunteer coordinator. We also offer all our volunteers access to the same high quality training as our staff as well as ongoing support through supervision.
Volunteering benefits our service users and provides opportunities for individuals to use their existing skills to support our services and also develop new skills to advance their careers. Volunteers bring a range of skills and experience that complement the work we do with our service users including, in some cases, personal experience of the challenges of living with substance misuse or coping with a loved one’s misuse.
