An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Change Grow Live Birmingham drug & alcohol service, for the role of Engagement Worker.  We have a number of sites across the city, one of which you will be based in, however this role may require travelling between sites in the Birmingham area.

The post-holder will deliver a range of interventions, including group work, drop in programmes, semi- and structured key working and outreach support, assessments, needle exchange, risk assessments and risk management plans, as part of the Entry into Services element of service delivery.  They will enable and empower service users to build their own recovery capital, and support them into long term, sustained recovery and social (re)integration.

You will have a good knowledge and experience of group work delivery and working within substance misuse services.  You will require excellent communication and engagement skills, and knowledge of comprehensive assessments; recovery planning, risk assessing, risk management planning and an ability to work well under pressure in order to deliver high quality services.

The post holder will be required to work flexibly across operational sites as required and work flexibly within an agreed number of hours to maintain the most appropriate level of service provision. This may include some evening and weekend working.
