A rewarding opportunity has arisen to join the Change, Grow, Live’s team in Richmond’s Integrated Recovery Service as a Reception Volunteer to assist their Recovery Team

CGL is a drug and alcohol recovery service working with adults affected by drug and alcohol dependence within the Richmond Borough. All clients are provided with an opportunity to enter a service which offers confidential support and specialist knowledge regarding the effects of addiction and offer clear objectives as to how they can work towards a healthier and happier life and look to a brighter future, from engagement, through to treatment, prescribing to aftercare.

We are looking for committed and enthusiastic people who will be able to bring their skills and experience to support service users in their recovery by supporting the management of 'Our Garden' this is the Richmond integrated recovery service recovery allotment utilised by our service users in recovery. All volunteers will receive extensive training as well as ongoing support through supervision.

Volunteering benefits our service users and provides opportunities for individuals to use their existing skills to support our services and also develop new skills to advance their careers. Volunteers bring a range of skills and experience that complement the work we do with our service users including, in some cases, personal experience of the challenges of living with substance misuse or coping with a loved one’s misuse.

Change Grow Live are committed to creating an inclusive environment, which celebrates difference and allows our staff and service users to flourish.  We recruit the very best staff from a wide range of backgrounds, ensuring service users benefit from our diverse skills and expertise. We always work to the principles of fairness and equality of opportunity in all our recruitment processes.

We also expect an assertive approach to ensuring the safety and well-being of all children, young people and adults, and applicants to these posts will need to demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to best safeguarding practice.
