An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Inspire service in East Lancashire for the role of Team Leader (maternity fixed term cover)

Please note whilst the base of the post will be Burnley for expenses purposes the position will be within the Pendle & Ribble Valley team working across a number of community venues.

Inspire is a successful health and social care charity working with individuals, families and communities across England and Wales that are affected by drugs, alcohol and the behaviours associated.  We believe that positive change can be facilitated throughout a person’s journey and at any stage; and support and guidance can enable choice, possibilities and opportunities.

The successful candidate will work closely alongside other partner agencies such as health services, hospitals, GPs, service users’ families and significant others, and CGL’s volunteers and mentors. You will provide clear role modelling and leadership for your team to ensure effective service provision for service users and support the delivery of a high-quality service.

Operational line management of a team of staff which includes supervision (with reflective practice), appraisal, performance and sickness management as well as ensuring staff follow CGL and external policies applicable to their roles.

Manage the rota of staff, working with other managers to ensure all elements of the service are covered appropriately.

Ensuring quality of service delivery through data analysis and engaging staff in service quality improvement planning. Where necessary, create team and individual performance plans to improve quality and performance.

Utilise CGL’s internal learning and development platform to identify the learning and development needs of your team and engage staff in face to face and eLearning as appropriate.

Attend internal and external meetings, with a range of different stakeholders on behalf of the management team.

It is expected that weekend and evening work will form part of your role, as well as being able to work flexibly across all of the different service settings and to be able to travel across the whole of the East Lancashire footprint as needed.
