Vicki has worked at Change Grow Live since 2009. She is one of four Executive Directors responsible for service delivery at the charity.
Her previous role as Director involved providing strategic and operational leadership to Change Grow Live services in Southend, Thurrock, Cambridge, Peterborough, Newham and Barking & Dagenham, leading a team of Services Managers to deliver the best possible interventions to service users, in line with the organisational values. She also supported the production of tenders and the implementation of new services.
Vicki has worked in the substance misuse sector since 1998 and benefits from years of valuable experience in a number of different roles.
After completing a Master’s Degree in Criminology from the University of Cambridge, she took on the role of Counseling, Assessment, Referral, Advice and Throughcare (CARAT) worker in HMP Wormwood Scrubs and Brixton before joining Change Grow Live as an Arrest Referral Worker in Camden and Islington.
She then worked for the Home Office Drugs Prevention Advisory Service before working as part of the commissioning team in Hertfordshire for 6 years.
In 2009 Vicki re-joined Change Grow Live as a Deputy Director. She was promoted to the role of Director in 2014 and Executive Director in 2018.
Vicki’s priority is providing the best possible services for service users and their families. She understands the potential for changing people’s lives through the delivery of quality services, and fundamentally believes that recovery is possible and that people can change. She is also dedicated to developing staff and managers into successful leaders.
