We offer specialist peer support services to people who are currently in the homeless or supported accommodation pathway in Brighton and Hove. There are two strands to our service, our Mentors who all have lived experience of homelessness and living in supported accommodation and our Mentees, who are currently in this pathway and need support to navigate their way through the pathway.
Our mentors offer an informal 1-to-1 mentoring relationship to clients, drawing on their own personal experience to support them in sustaining tenancies, improving their health and well-being, or to move successfully through the pathway, and ultimately empowering them to live independently. Matches are carefully selected, and there is no time limit to a mentoring relationship. The mentors are trained and qualified with Change Grow Live, and our team are highly skilled in working with volunteers who have lived experience and offer a high level of support to the mentors.
